just ranting

The blank dark screen isn't as scary as the blank white screen

Maybe all these authors needed was dark theme all along

Anyways, I'm way past the point where writing is beneficial again

And again don't have much to say. I mean I have everything to say so I have nothing to say.

It's like those definitions that match everything and are meaningless for it. It just can't be used to take decisions.

I wonder how much art is lost in Windows updating time. Insomnia sparks demotivated by the blue flash, vibes tainted in the frustration of an eternal 99%

This has always been a thing actually. Just the inconvenience is "not having food" instead of "having to wait thirty seconds"

Not like we need more art in quantity anyways. There's already so much. I don't know if you could read even an hour of the world's publications in a lifetime.

Last time I went down a suggestion hole on books kickstarter. Every combination of words is being written. There's just so many. And similar ones too.

I don't mean it's bad, maybe¹ these guys are happy about their work, it just weirds me out. So many authors writing similar things for the same audience on the same platform. Just a different "instance" of the audience, because the algorithm assigned them different readers.

There is so much everything around that the most important thing that defines a watcher's experience is which pieces are shown and in what order. In that way, the artists are already long replaced.

Maybe we should consider curation as an art. I mean, "we" the public. I'm sure artists already do, in a way that doesn't require effort nor cause consequences.

Maybe people should worry first about how their suggestions are being set, and then about what is being suggested. You could do that just by changing the interface of social networks to make people select an algorithm or a set playlist before displaying anything.

I heard there's something like this about playlists on Spotify. Like, there are well-known playlist-makers and people share around suggestions for playlists.

I'm sure no label ever found out that playlist-maker-guys would accept money in exchange for inserting arbitrary garbage.

What I mean is - we need more human corruption. Robots are lame, you never really know who to blame.
