Humans can swim but can't
You can actually die just by going into water, if you didn't manually learn to swim.
Like, evolution, wtf? The human body definitely *can* swim.
And it even has the primate preset for it. Like, hello, it's update eon, did you run sudo dnf update recently? We have asses now, the muscle mass and body shape shifted around, this stuff is outdated as hell.
The worst part is, because y'all *refuse* to let people drown alone without instructions (smh), this might actually never get done. There might just never be a moment in life history where humans that need to swim can't be taught how to swim. I guess there's still a slight survival advantage in early stages of life, but it will go into enhancing the current tech for our new size rather than switching to entirely different ones.
I mean it's kinda stupid, everything is set for it except reflexes.
Birds need to learn to fly, but I'm guessing they're not as clueless. Y'know, the whole nest-infiltration thingy? Birds have different flying techs, I don't see how brood parasitism could work if they just copy what their parents do.
So yeah, here's for my daily speculation. Now I can go back to sleep.
See you next time for a post on how putting a lid on water to lower the boiling point is stupid as everyone who asks you to boil water actually means "heat it to exactly 100C°".
